“The Gardens Restaurant” is located in the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. The facility is open exclusively for the Fort Worth CSI Chapter.
This program describes history, test procedures and necessity of NFPA 285 to meet code requirements for non-combustible wall assemblies containing combustible materials.
- Identification and history of NFPA 285
- Why NFPA 285 is necessary
- When to apply NFPA 285 and Code Requirements
- How NFPA 285 test procedure is performed
- What is the future of NFPA 285
Ruth Trudeau has been a member of CSI for 30+ years. As an architectural and industrial sales rep she has promoted and sold coil & extrusion coatings, as well as fabricated glass. Currently she is South/Midwest District Sales Manager for Alucobond aluminum composite material. Changes in codes for better energy and fire resistive performance of exterior wall assemblies have required more testing of components. This presentation makes clear the somewhat confusing IBC code requirements for exterior wall assemblies.
Please arrive by 5:30 p.m. to enjoy the social time with Chapter members.
Fort Worth CSI Chapter annual dues cover meal charges for members. Guest meals are complimentary for the first Fort Worth CSI Chapter meeting that they attend. Meals are $25 for Non-Fort Worth CSI Chapter members paid by cash or check at the door.
